This web site has a list of native trees for your area, many of which would do well in wet soil. I would recommend the serviceberry or the hornbeam. ct-botanical-society.org/garden/garden2.... .
Fabulous information! Thanks so much! .
I have a magnolia growing on my property, but I think the key question is whether it gets wet and swampy, or just has a lot of water running through it. I've got pretty good drainage, so I've only got a few spots that get swampy.
The corner of my yard where I want to plant it is actually part of wetlands. For the most part it is fine but when it rains heavily or when the snow melts it doesn't drain very well and takes a while to dry out again. I really want to put an ornamental tree in the part of my yard; any other suggestions?!?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
