Will Mahalo Answers ever get to the point where only "Tipped" questions are on the home page?

Why yes, yes it will. ..unless the algorithm for front-page questions specifically puts a few untipped questions up there. I suspect it doesn't though.

Basically, with the growing trend in internet use, and the likelihood that Mahalo Answers, being so young, is going to grow much more anyway: I think it's a safe bet the front-page will start to fill up with tipped answers. The growing Mahalo economy will contribute to this too. I've paid no money of my own, and have only been a moderate contributor, yet I have $14.00 on my account.

I can pose quite a few tipped questions at no expense to me. The money being added to untipped questions at present is just going to add to peoples ability to tip questions to bump them up the list. ..Tipped questions will grow.

There's the possibility they'll expand the list on the first page to try to maintain the visibility of untipped questions. This site is very human-powered after all. But I expect a full-tipped front page before action is taken on that front.

Not really. I think the purpose of the site is to give a forum to people who want answers to question but not do the research themselves to figure it out. So questions with tips and without tips have no less importance in whether or not they get answered just that there is more incentive on higher tipped ones to go the extra mile.

I think your reading the wrong thing on the less answers thing also. I think the flood of twitter questions has caused the system to not have enough answers to support all the questions. I think Jason said were getting 400 questions a day from twitter.

I'm not sure what the total pool was but I'm guessing that is a significant number. In the same time there probably wasn't a corresponding jump in people answering questions. So a lot less answers and a lot more questions drive down the number of answers per question.

Given that Mahalo is now funding untipped questions with 25-cent tips of its own, you could say that it's already that way. :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
