I can record but I have to sit in front of the TV to do it. No more auto programming and recording off different channels without being right there. It's because the VCR tuner is strictly analog and doesn't do that 7.2, 13.8 stuff.
Unless I just don't undestand the lash-up enough. Mabe you'll have to get a DVR.
YES IT WILL , but - if the antenna has a HDMI plug on the end of its wire then you should connect the antenna directly to the TV set to watch high definition television programming. Then you can run a red white and yellow wire to the VCR from the TV if it has those outputs, then out put back to the TV with the same type of wire to inputs on the TV that will give you record and playback of what you are watching, but it will NOT BE IN HIGH DEFINITION, only the direct connection from the antenna to the TV set will be in and show high definition.
Thanks, I'll give that a try. Mtgriz 15 months ago .
Your welcome --you may need to run a co ax cable out to the VCR from the TV to pass the programs you are watching to the VCR, the connection I suggested in my first post may NOT send any signal to the VCR, you are going to have to experiment, I can suggest many ways to connect this all together, if one does not work let me know , we can try something else, good luck.
Good answer Dan Zee , I had forgot about the DA converter box. You need to listen to his advice I have an HDTV cable box from comcast with analog outputs and co ax outputs so I forgot all about the DA boxes .
Yes you can. IOU-0's instructions are a little confused. What you need is digital to analog TV converter box.
Best Buy or Radio Shack should still have them. You then connect up a UHF antenna to the converter box and run the red, yellow and white cables to the video and audio ins on your VCR. You can then view your VCR on your HDTV by using the video/audio out plugs to the audio/video ins on your TV.
You will use the converter box to select the channels you want to record from. The analog tuner in the VCR is no good anymore. If you want to record while you are out, you can only set it to one channel. At home, I use two antennas, one for the converter box and one for the TV.
I found that easier than trying to loop one antenna through both the converter box and the TV. I did an extensive search and there are only a couple of VCRs with digital tuners, and none of them had good reviews. And they're expensive.
So you're better off using this method. Good luck!

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
