Rand Paul is NOT simply a newer, younger edition of his dad. I don't agree with Ron Paul on much, but I have enormous admiration for his consistency, his adherence to his principles. He won't play footsie with the GOP to win the nomination for president, he's more interested in getting his ideas out, even if he doesn't win.
His son, OTOH, is a shameless panderer. He's more interested in making a name for himself than in furthering his political principles, because has no principles. If Rand made a serious run for the presidency, you'd see.
He'd be more flexible than Mitt Romney, changing his positions after every poll. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be catching him in inconsistencies and self-contradictions all the time.
For the same reason some Paul supporters voted for Obama who is the exact opposite of Paul. Many voters are just plain ignorant of the facts and don't understand politics enough to make smart decisions. Rand Paul believes just like his dad on many things, but he is not electable and would best serve the people of Kentucky rather than running for president.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
