Not at this time for a new tank man. Beijing is under tight control by military, national security, police, and CCP members patrol. They will even stop commercial flights around Beijing area.

During the parade, they will have roads blocked. There will be checkpoints that will check in only people with invitation. However, Xi's political rival Jiang's clan don't want the parade to go well.

Jiang's clan would have thought about during the parade, a military coup, explosion, or sabotage a missile truck, etc. They are spending big money on falsified history propaganda. They even are going to release a new movie about Cairo conference in 1943. They decide that Mao attended, and not Chiang Kaishek and Madam Chiang.

Mao's communist troops in the entire WWII fighting against Japan, only fought two minor battles and resulted in 800 Japanese military death toll (8 years). Whereas, the nationalist troops fought 22 major battles, 1000 battles, and 10K skirmishes. Nationalist troops had 206 generals and 1.5 million troops died in the war.

Mao's red army during the war turned against the nationalist troops and killed/injured 140K nationalist troops. During WWII, communists killed/injured many more nationalist army than Japanese army. And after the war, Mao took over China, he twice thanked Japan for invasion.

For non-stop 65 years, PRC CCP have been telling their people for it was the communists defeated Japan during WWII. Now they want to celebrate this distorted/faked history, and promote extreme nationalism with military parade.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
