It's really not the increased curvature that makes it appear that way in pictures. It is the lack of an effect called atmospheric extinction that causes that illusion. On Earth when you look at something very far away the atmosphere makes things fade out and look greyer when their really far away.
This effect doesn't occur on the moon so far away things look close.
You have not looked at all the pictures. I have seen Dozens of pictures of Earth from the Moon and they show the moon/s Horizon.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
