I'm sorry to say since I'm a fan of both them but no, not even close. Here's my top five greatest WrestleMania matches. 5.
Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 21 4. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 12 3. John Cena vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 23 2.
Both Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels matches 1. Triple H vs Undertaker WrestleMania 28 I honestly don't see Taker/Punk surpassing any of those matches. Wrestling wise Punk has It Inhim but Taker Is really getting up their In age.
As much as I love his last two matches with Triple H I think the reason those were hardcore type matches Is because I don't think he has It In him to have a great wrestling match anymore. His 2010 match with HBK was the last great pure wrestling match. Since then he's had to had gimmick matches.
Really he's also had to rely on story to carry his matches. His matches with Triple H was at least half story. Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that they were great but that shows his condition.
Another big problem Is their previous matches. I'll never understand how Taker had classic matches with Batista but mediocre matches with Punk. They just never had great chemistry.
Hell they had better matches on tv then on PPV. Also Taker was younger then and was In better ring shape. With no gimmicks attached I see this being a good match, not great, certainly not the best.
BQ: Who do you want to win? I want Taker to win so he can make to WrestleMania 30. BQ2: If you could add a stip what would it be?
Three stages of Hell. First to throw In gimmicks to cover Taker's condition. Also even If Punk loses he can say he was the only man to pin Taker WrestleMania.
I would have to disagree. If you had the Undertaker of 4-5 years ago, then I might have a different answer, but THIS Undertaker isn't capable of putting on the greatest match in WM history. They might put on the best match of the night, but in history?
No way. And also, Punk and Taker have had some bouts before, and quite frankly, they weren't anything special. They never seemed to 'click' in the ring together.
That's not to say they won't work out the kinks before WM, but it is something to be mindful of. BQ: Undertaker. That way he can face Cena next year at WM30.
BQ2: A no DQ match would be interesting. I think with that type of match we'd see Punk go to GREAT lengths to try and end The Streak. Also, if Taker were to lose, he'd have to retire.
I think that'd put that tiny bit of doubt into fans head that Taker might actually lose. BQ3: I doubt it. He HAS to face Cena at WM30.
That would be one for the ages. BQ4: Yes. There's two guys I wouldn't mind seeing beat the Undertaker.
Cena or Sheamus.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
