I as an individual would donate to a cause such as that. The reason being is that a family that is devasted by something as horrific as the deaths of these policemen will get some closure. It is true that they probably have insurance and the widows will recieve ssi for themselves and their children.
If the cop was a bad cop, God will know that I gave out of love. Everyone needs a little helping hand. Now if the policeman was local to me then I would most likely donate school clothes, food, or other materials that was needed instead of money.
Maybe even just a teddybear for the children. This family would have to know that they are not alone. The same is true with fallen military.
They have great benefits if deployed and their families are taken care of usually monetarily. But I would heal better knowing that my husband did not die in vain and that his service was appreciated. By the people he fought for.It would help me and my children heal from the devastation.
I would donate to a charity such as this, but only if I felt the money was going to the wives and children who are left behind. The families who are devastated by this loss will still need food, home, and clothing to survive. The wife still needs to pay the bills and she may be a housewife, who needs a step up until she finds a job.
We should never hold the family responsible for the actions of another person, who isn’t their loved one. Sometimes police offers make mistakes and if they are bad, they will face those they hurt in the spiritual world. However, most police men are public servants, who truly do try to help others who need him in the community.
Yet, many times they are resented by those living within the community for many reasons. Don’t blame all the police men for one person’s foolish actions, since they allow us all to sleep in peace at night.
Yes, I would give money to charities that do this, and have numerous times. Cops are out there every day doing their best to keep the communities they serve as safe as possible for everyone. It is a selfless occupation and they and their families deserve respect and as much help as can be afforded in my opinion.
A police officer should not be exempt from help because the job can be dangerous, just as a firefighter should not be exempt from help. As far as an "innocent" person being injured by the police, they will get paid from the organization if they were wronged. I also would not see a problem with a fundraiser for someone wrongfully injured by the police, or anyone else for that matter.
Charities are designed to help people and the families of the slain officers have sacrificed enormous amounts for the communities these officers served. They were murdered in cold blood for merely being servants of the community, so yes, I would and would encourage all to donate to help the families of these men and women.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
