Would you respect someone with an other-than-honorable discharge from the military?

You can forget about the AF commission as your route is very unlikely unless you go to college and take AFROTC. Your Army rotary wing WO route is possible, but very competitive. The Army enlisted MOS is possible.

The AF AFSC is ruled be the needs of the AF, not your choice. You don't get to choose in the AF. Your wife won't be working in Germany unless she is employed on a US military base and even that is unlikely as they hire locals for trades.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
