Since I love Great White Sharks, my first thought was to bring back the Megalodon, but that wouldn't be very logical since I don't think the current ocean ecosystem could handle such a large and hungry predator. We don't have the large number of whales that would be needed in its diet. I would have to choose the Dodo bird as my animal to bring back from extinction.
Just because an animal is easy to catch and kill because of their modified habitat, doesn't mean it's a free for all. The newly arrived Europeans to the Island of Mauritius were amazed that these birds could not fly, and slaughtered them mercilessly. If these birds were brought back, it could teach us more about its evolutionary history... and maybe remind us of how narrow minded and selfish we were.
The Saber tooth Tiger. I think they were beautiful.
I would not bring back a dinosaur, they wouldnt survive, the oxygen levels of the planet were different then and the ecosystem has changed too much. Anyhow it would definately be one of the HOLOCENE Extinction level animals that I would bring back. This is the extinction event happening now - in our lifetime.
scienceray.com/biology/ecology/the-holoc... I too would bring back the DODO bird, but want to point out that it was not humans who killed these birds directly - they found them unpleasant to eat, and while they did eat some it was the introduced species they brought that really did these birds in. helium.com/items/1566969-what-killed-off....
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
