Buld it yourself all day. Wayyy cheaper, way more bang for your buck. Check out barebones kits on newegg.com or tigerdirect.
This is where I got mine. It comes with like a tower, power supply, video card, motherboard, ram, a processor... make sure you get at least quad-cores in your processor for gaming, intel quad cores. Thats what I got intel core i5 unleashed, but i7 is also a quad core processsor just a step up from mine, but a bit more expensive.
You prolly don't need the i7, but im telling you... having 4 cores is a total game changer. Its like having 2 computers in one its real fast and powerful. Also make sure you have at least 2 sticks of ram, and make sure you plug them in the correct slots so that all the ram isnt on one "channel" make sure at least one stick is on the first channel and the second stick of ram is plugged into a diff channel (which means you will have to skip a slot and not plug them in side by side usually but there should be directions.) having the 2 channels of ram allows you to utilize your 4 cores more effectively.
Oh yea it comes with a coolng fan too. My pc costed me a grand total of about $1100, but that was with mouse, speakers, monitor, etc. as well. The barebones kit was like $850 I think.
You might need a little more money. Ive had this for going on 10 years and its still lightning compared to everything my family has, they didn't build their own, and my PC smokes them.
