After 8 years of "trickle down" economic policy, are Republicans willing to admit it's a failure?

Trickle-down worked great! Still does! But its stated purpose was not its REAL purpose.

It's real purpose was to concentrate wealth. Let's all make sacrifices to make the rich richer, the argument went, and everyone will be richer. Well 99% of us gave up advancement of our standard of living, and it sure did make the rich richer.

We all didn't get richer, but that wasn't really the idea, the idea was to make the rich richer. The Republicans keep saying that if trickle down isn't working, we can fix it by giving the rich yet another big tax break. But that program is getting harder and harder to sell after 30 years.

That was an economics principle coined by Ronald Reagan, a B class movie star, during his first campaign for president. During former President George Bush's (the elder) campaign against Reagan, he described it as "Voodoo economics". No one has proved Bush wrong yet, though it's created a lot of wealth for a lot of people who were situated at the point where the trickle was supposed to begin.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
