Anyone know how to make a dog stop snoring? I love this dog, but I could go without the snoring sometimes?

Quote ehow kristie leong M. D --- Dog snoring usually doesn't carry serious health consequences. Certain dog breeds have a propensity to snore due to the way their faces and snouts are constructed.

These include Bulldogs, the Pekingese, and Pugs. These dogs tend to have shorter, narrow nasal passages which can make breathing more difficult. Snoring in a dog can be caused by anything that causes a small blockage in the airway during sleep.

One of most common causes for dog snoring is allergy related problems. If your dog is snoring habitually, a trip to the vet might be warranted to exclude correctable causes of snoring such as polyps or other growths in the throat that may aggravate snoring. These growths may be removed surgically which can correct the problem.

If your dog's snoring is related to obesity, your vet can help you determine optimal nutrition and an exercise plan that will help your dog's general health as well as his snoring problem. If your dog is deemed healthy and continues to snore throughout the night, you may want to consider having your dog sleep in his own room. To make him more comfortable, give him lots of pillows and some familiar toys.As an alternative, you can always invest in a good pair of ear plugs.

Photo: ThinkstockOn weekends the large park I live near is lousy with dogs. Specifically, very cute dogs being walked by optimistic young couples armed with toys, portable dog dishes, and those things that throw balls extra-far. That is to say, dog-babies.

These couples love their dogs. As in, LOVE love. As in, they give their dogs licks of their ice cream cones.

I know they do. I once had a dog-baby too. Still have the dog, only now she's just a dog.

I sometimes want to stop these people and grip their arms and say, "Are you crazy? If you're not ready to have an actual baby, just nurture a plant or something! Enjoy your responsibility-free life!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
