ATHEISTS (FORMER CHRISTIANS): How have your morals changed since your "de-conversion"?

No victim no crime is my moral basis... I hope you are looking for an answer becasue it seems you are looking for an argument, but as far as I am aware god never told lot to give up his daughter, but the principle of it is that those men (angels) were under lots protection, it was his duty to stop them from being raped by the mob of gay rapists outside his house, all of the bad stuff that you cut out of context was not commendable by god, they are historical accounts of what happened, and those things are not biblical guidlines, you say they are guidlines, maybe you don't realise but the gudlines giveb to christians come from jesus, love thy neighbour, im sure you can work out what that means, you wouldnt hurt someone you love.. it's pretty simple like.

The most immoral acts are done by religious zealots and clergy. Look at the Catholic priest scandals---which continue, look at Swaggart, Haggard, Jim Baker, Jim Jones, et al. Look at the Muslim fanatics murdering in the name of their god and their religion.

Look at the Catholic Inquisition, and then try to say that atheists are immoral.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
