First of all, congratulations to both for reaching the final despite all odds. Honestly, I don't feel like Sharapova has a chance for the title, Azarenka is just a much better player at the moment. She is playing the best tennis of her life, having won Sydney a couple of weeks ago as well so she is on a 11 match winning streak, but not only that, she's also had great results at the end of last season.
Sharapova managed to beat Kvitova who is the best player in the world and I give her credit for that, it was a very clutch win, but she has no business in a Slam final with that serve. Azarenka is probably the best returner of serve in women's tennis(along with Sharapova) and even though her serve isn't strong, it's pretty consistent. She has never been famous for her mental strength, that's always been a weakness, but now, I think she is on a new level mentally.
No doubt she will be nervous playing her first Slam final, but I think after a few opening games she'll hit full form. Sharapova played great in the opening rounds, but has struggled with Lisicki and Clijsters. Her serve let her down in both matches, but her fighting spirit never left her and that's why she won.
No doubt she will fight against in the final and the crowd will cheer her on. The problem though is her serve which is still very inconsistent and Azarenka's return is amazing, so I expect a lot of breaks, on both sides. Maria's strengths could be Vika's mentality since it's her first Slam final, if it goes to a 3rd set Maria will be the favorite and if it's a dogfight and a battle of spirits, then she will surely win and she can also magically come out and surprise us all and play amazing throughout the match, you can never count that out with her.
Azarenka is the favorite and I'd put it like this when it comes to chances- 70% for Azarenka and 30% for Sharapova.
I think Sharapova will win in the screaming category, but Azarenka will win the match. So 'loyal tennis' fans don't criticise players for their excessive grunting and screaming? I love tennis, just not the screaming.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
