I'm not a fan of either, but I will be rooting for Maria tomorrow. Azarenka has been getting on my nerves lately. I've never liked her honestly, but lately she is so obnoxious and too self confident.
I like that she has a strong personality, but she comes across as a bit full of herself. I kinda see that similarity between her and Sharapova, but Maria is a bit more mature now and can control herself. Despite me not liking Azarenka, she is a very credible and dominant #1 and I believe she will soon surpass Sharapova as the better player.
Match-up wise, Azarenka is a nightmare for Sharapova. Sharapova's only lately win was in Rome last year, but even then Azarenka won a set, but then retired. Their last 3 matches in finals were steamrolls and I believe would have been a lot easier had Azarenka not choked.
Now, however, her serve is better and so is her mentality. The courts are very slow and it suits her game much better. I think the problem is that Sharapova doesn't believe that she can do it.
Azarenka just does everything better. Her serve isn't as powerful, but it's more consistent than Maria's. Her groundstrokes are just too good and I don't think anyone on the WTA tour can outhit her in rallies.
She is just too solid from the baseline, basically like a better version of Dementieva. Now she has the mental stability and attitude too. I believe this will be a very easy win for her and it's all on her racquet.
I believe she will lose 2-3 games in this one and get away with another title in 2012.
Masha of course! Me siding with Owl lady? Puh-lease.
I hope Maria can get revenge! I don't mind Vika though. It's just I'm tired of her winning everything and her attitude is just too in your face.
She kinda annoys me. Her and Novak have become like gladiators on court. It's just too rawry.
I also posted on a question Jay asked a few months ago. He was saying whether or not Vika would have a Novak like year, and when she would loose. I said 'In Indian Wells, Against Masha'.
So me hope me is right. I think Azarenka will probably win though. If Maria cuts out the errors off the ground and strings together a few power plays, she'll win.
Otherwise Vika's consistent hard hitting will dominate. She hardly ever makes errors and gets everything back. She's like a powerful Wozniacki.
Masha will have to play at her best, left and right errors won't be enough. She hit so many shots to the net or wide, against Kiri and at the beginning of the Ivanovic match. It won't be enough in the final.
She'll have to keep up with her, not hit the ball out, and over power her within the side lines lolz. I know Maria makes a lot of errors and you can always say 'that's just her game'. But it's really not enough.
When she won her majors she wasn't making those errors. She needs to play it clean and powerfully to beat Aza. She's more than capable of doing so, she hits it many levels harder when she's at her best.
It's just the inconsistencies that are her down fall. Anyway yeah. GO Masha!
Ciao :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
