There's a good chance a lot of that large size you are currently seeing has to do with things the program requires in order to run on a big fat OS like XP.
Sounds like a reasonable fit for a Raspberry-Pi, which has Gnat as part of its Debian (Raspbian) distribution. You might have to pay attention to its memory footprint if that 200MB footprint is just the data...
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
