Can I put pure calcium powder in a shallow pot and let my leopard gecko lick it all up?

Well what I do is I have two dishes in each of my leopard geckos tanks. One is a water dish and one is a calcium dish. I put a pinch of calcium in each of the little dishes.

You can find little dishes at a pet store like Petsmart or Petco. I will catch my leopard geckos once in awhile licking the calcium from the dish. All you need is a pinch, because if it eats too much it can possibly get impacted.

I have a leopard gecko also and I just have a bag with calcium in it and I put the crickets in there and shake them around, don't worry they won't die just shake them. Along with the calcium he needs uv sunlight, I use a heat bulb that has uv built in. You could mix it in the water but then how is he supposed to get the bad taste out of his mouth.

Pure calcium would burn his tongue and kill him do you mean calcium carbonate or gluconate or similar.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
