Christian views on homosexuality, care to elaborate?

YOu are mistaken by saying they are only from the Old Testament and should only apply to Jews. God said in these portions of Scripture that homosexuality as described in Leviticus was an abomination to Him and that because of this practice and the other practices listed, He was driving out the Nations of Canaan and giving them to the Israelites. Logically by your reasoning, bestiality, incest, murder and every other sin listed in the Law would also now be deemed acceptable by God.

Paul made it perfectly plain: "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.

Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Romans 1:18-27 and again: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

I Corinthians 6:9-11 Please note Paul lists these thinks which exclude one from the Kingdom, and then says "That is what some of you were" - not "ARE", but were. It is those who want to change the word of God to suit their lifestyle that are tearing things apart. Paul said this of such ones: "For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things." Philippians 3:18-19.

Each revealed Book, Psalm, Torah, Injeel(New testament) was bestowed on the respective Prophets David, Moses and Jesus(Peace be upon them) and in each instance their books were corrupted by people down the line. Of course all of the material in these Books was not corrupted but most of it. Some still intact.

Homosexuality in these times is a touchy subject. You say people who judge homosexuals are no better than themselves in other sins/drawbacks/weaknesses whatever you may want to call it that's true but it is also true that God has already judged them(homosexuals) that is not to say that God will just forgive them. He may not or he might.

The thing is some people of a faith are sincere to their faith hence it is their duty, which incidently God has put upon them, to forbid evil and recommend good and righteous deeds. Do you want to stop these faithful servants of God to do the right thing? Would you stop yourself from doing the right thing?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
