Do breeders of pedigreed cats add to the problem of stray cats, cats in shelters, etc.?

No, not in my opinion. Very rarely will you find a well-bred pedigreed cat in a shelter. I also don't think pedigreed cats fill up homes that would be available to stray or abandoned cats as is frequently said by those opposed to breeding pedigreed cats.

Most folks who want a specific breed of cat will not have anything other than exactly the breed they have fallen in love with. Additionally, 10% of all Kittiary kitten sales are donated to feline rescue groups so we do more to prevent and help with rescuing cats then most people do. To quote Niels C.

Pedersen, DVM, PhD, Professor of Veterinary Medicine at U.C., Davis, "if all recognized breeds were to disappear, it would not only be a great loss but would not begin to affect the circumstances created by a lack of caring and knowledge on the part of those who don't place significant value on cats. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
