No, a healthy, stable man knows he is an adult, loves his mother, but makes up his own mind. I don't think men being overly close to their mothers is as common in the US as it is in other cultures.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
