Do Republicans really have any interest in cutting spending or reducing the size and scope of government?

Tea Party is a movement, not a political party. I don't know of any Tea Partier who isn't running on the Republican ticket. Ergo, we need GOP to retake Congress.

This is just the start, one election. Congress will be limited to correct the mess that Obama and the Democratic congress created in 20 months, but it needs to start now so Congress can control the "purse".

Yeah....the pre-election Repubs are all indignant and pledge to hold spending in line. It's the post-election Repubs who drive the deficit and the debt to new heights. I read through Congressional bills as part of my job and you should see the monies buried in Defense and other budget bills by the Repubs for their "favorite" contractors, etc. They could at least pretend to live in the reality of their politics.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
