Do you have any "pet peeves" about Askville?

Well--here's your chance to air them! One rule, however: you are not to mention the name or names of any other Askville members in your DB comments (either directly or by implication). A similar Question was asked about two years ago.

Only the taking other people's opinions so seriously as to be offended. Many folks here disagree with me--one even politely asked me to knock off with the "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11) already because it annoyed him (her? ) and didn't befit a person of intelligence (thank you very much, you kind soul.) But many are not as polite about that, and that impoliteness is what bugs me, as if the physical distance condones and authorizes a way of addressing another human being that one would never use to another's face.

Yes, I know that distancing effect is common (Milgram's experiments), but since we all KNOW it's common, we are responsible to not stumble at that point. We do anyway, and too often it seems on purpose..

1 The only pet peeve I have is for the few on Askville who continually paste their comments from other sources rather than use an original thought of their own.

2 there's this guy, ****, who keeps having errors... yet he never posts anything, interesting or otherwise. Then, there's the weekend inanity.

3 I'm tired of any question that has to do with religion or politics. There is relatively little open, honest debate. Those questions, generally, turn into contests of who can be ruder.

That's not why I come to Askville.

4 Oh, I don't know about that. The rules that Marshallo put forth seemed fair to me.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
