Do you have to apply for child support if you apply for food stamps?

No. But really, not you should. I am not trying to be nasty, and I do not have a problem with my tax dollars going to help you feed your children.

But I do think the least the children's dad could do is help support his own children. So, I am asking you to apply for child support. And, really, your kids are going to need things that food stamps cannot buy.

Their dad should man up and take care of his children - and if he won't, then you need to make him do so.

I think it depends on what state you are applying in. I know that here in South Carolina, when my sister applied, they asked for the children's father's information as well. And they told her that in order to receive food assistance, they would be required to file charges for child support from the father.

And if the father doesn't pay......she still gets assistance, only the State provides it. Then, of course, the father owes the STATE. So that is how it goes here.

And if the father already pays support.....then that amount is figured in to the total "income" that has to be assessed when determining whether or not someone even needs "assistance". Hope this helps! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
