Decent one if they can keep their rotation healthy. The Jays have some talented but oft injured starters. This year is especially good chance because the Yankees rotation is a disaster, their line up injury prone and in decline.
The Redsox have a good rotation but are also over the hill, weak on defense and prone to rally killing KOs on top of being injury prone. Even the return of Ellisbury and Pedroia doesn't help. Especially since the Redsox got Crawford who'll crowd the SB situation and they have base clogging KOamatics in the heart of the lineup.
So it's a really good recipe for how to lose games. The Jays however have a solid lineup. Snider if he can stay healthy and productive can be a major impact player.
Hill if healthy can as well. Davis if he can get on base becomes a dangerous runner. Question is it the Davis of 09 or 10 that the Jays will see?
Batista is not exactly a good #4 hitter. You want a guy like Batista hitting 6th where his KOs don't hurt you so bad but where he provides protection for better hitters and can clean up the bases when he does connect. No idea why the Jays signed Francisco.
They already have 5 relievers who are better pitchers. Yes the Rangers were desperate to use him to close games last year. The Jays no.
Most teams struggle to get to the 9th, the Jays will struggle in the 9th until Francisco gets demoted. It won't be an easy run. The Jays need Drabek to have a decent season.
Need youngsters like Ciecil to continue improving and for either Romero and or Morrow to have a break out season. That happens the Jays may well go far into the playoffs. The WS isn't impossible.
Keys are Ceicil to bring his ERA down to around 3.70 and be more consistent. Drabek to give the team a good 17-20 quality starts and keep his ERA close to 4 or better. I'm personally gambling on Drabek in some of my fantasy leagues.
I think he's capable of a 15-10 3.35 kind of season. Of course Morrow and Romero need a full healthy season. That's the hard part.
Snider needs to develop and push the offense. Bautista isn't the kind of hitter capable of that. Snider is if healthy and motivated.
Well they have the Yankees and Red Sox who will fight for the division title and the loser will probably get the Wild Card... that being said, there's chance the Rays might pull together with their revamped lineup and win quite a few games, and the Orioles also added a lot of stars like Vlad and Reynolds... I personally think the Blue Jays finish 4th or 5th in the division, so no, playoffs aren't likely.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
