Does Askville have a specific search function so one can find all questions and /or answers posted by a certain member?

This can be done through their "profile page". As far as I'm aware, there's not any specific search function to achieve what you ask. However, if you can find any question or answer that a particular individual has posted -- which is obviously easier for some people than for others -- then you can click on their name or avatar anywhere that you see it and this will take you to their profile page.

Once you've got to the profile page you originally see the comments that have been left, but you're also able to select the "Questions" or "Answers" tabs. These have a list of the last few questions or answers that an individual has made. You can also click on "see more" in the bottom right hand corner of these two tabs to get to a full listing of their questions or answers, respectively.

The difficult part is often finding the profile page in the first place, which is one of the reasons that it would be nice to be able to maintain some sort of "friends" list here. A partial answer, but hopefully one which is useful. Sources: My experience of Askville..

Not really a search feature There's no real search feature, but you can find posts by a particular member pretty easily. Click on the user name of the person you are looking for, you will be taken to their profile Click on the answers tab Here you will see the recent questions they've answered, click the 'see more' link to see all answers they've given Hope this helps .

From their profile... When you click someone’s username, you view their profile. There are three tabs on that profile: Comments, Questions, and Answers. Under the Questions tab, you’ll find links to all the questions that person has asked.

Under the Answers tab, you’ll find links to those questions that the person has answered, but only those that are already closed (since you can’t read the answers on an open question unless you also answer it). Sources: Personal experience .

If you can find the member's icon anywhere... Doesn't matter where, on another question, an e-mail, or a comment on someone's page, click on it, and it will take you to their public profile page. From there, you can browse all of their questions and answers. Sources: my knowledge .

No and yes The only wat that you cab search a question(right now, they’re getting to it) would be to search by topic,or the topic that you think it would fall under. You can do that on the Askville home page. askville.amazon.com/askville/Index.do Just go to this box in home.

Search topics: It’s near the bottom of the page. The only way that you can search by questioner, would be to click on their avatar(picture thingy) then look here, the tab that says questions. Here’s a link to my profile so you can try it.

If you really dislike an Askville member's replies to your, and other's, questions...

The most questions asked, the most answers given, the most points, etc.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
