Parker's take on Beck has been around a long time - that he is a recovering addict and his actions and choices can all be attributed to that. I think that is both simplistic and incomplete. Beck, I think, is sincere in a lot of things.
Yes, he has the classic traits of a recovering addict, but I have always felt we all are recovering from something or someone - loss or disappointment, sickness of heart or body. Glenn is looking for answers. He is looking for them sincerely.
I think it would be nice if we all just learned to leave each other alone, if we all stopped demonizing each other just because we disagree. Bottom line, Beck does a lot of good and he is growing.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
