Doesn't the name "Drug Liberalization Blogosphere" conjure up images in peoples' heads of the old "liberal"/"conservative" dichotomy?

The term "liberal" itself has a historical meaning that goes back far longer than today's shallow usages in the United States and elsewhere. The word itself according to Wikipedia: "The word 'liberal' derives from the Latin liber ('free, not slave')." Of course, usage has changed since then.

With regard to this sitering, I emphasize that the title of the sitering is not intended to conjure up images of the tired old "conservative"/"liberal" dichotomy. The broad movement that I refer to as the "drug liberalization" movement represents a broad cross-section of positions. I shied away from the terms "legalization" and "decriminalization," as well as things like "The 'End The Drug War' Sitering" because those words carry far too specific meanings that would have ruled out too many potential entrants.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
