For our extended family Christmas Dinner, we are having a bunch of finger foods or appetizers if you will... My family is bringing half plus a dessert and my cousin's family is bringing the other half plus another dessert. We probably have 15 people or so total. I'd like some ideas on what to make, if you include a recipe that would be helpful.

I have a couple of ideas such as baked brie, little sandwiches,... I know my cousin is bringing a cheese ball. So.. any ideas? Asked by cutiekitty1788 48 months ago Similar questions: extended family Christmas Dinner bunch finger foods appetizers Food & Drink > Cooking.

Here are 2 easy ones These can both be served with corn chips or Ritz crackers, Both are served warm: Rotel Dip- Microwave 1 can of Rotel Tomatoes, (These are tomatoes with Peppers already mixed in) with 1 lb. Of Velveeta cheese in a microwave safe bowl. Nuke for 2 min.

@ a time and stir till cheese is totally melted. I have also done this in a crock pot. Turn down to low after cheese is melted.

Next one is easy also-Artichoke Dip: 1 can of artichokes, chopped, 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese, a pinch of garlic powder, and 1 cup of mayo. Mix together in a pyrex bowl and bake @350 degrees for 20 min. This is very rich but remember you don't just eat it out of the dish with a spoon.

Serve warm also. These are favorites! Sources: we cook a lot .

Add rice; stir 1 minute. Add wine; stir until absorbed, about 30 seconds. Add broth, 1/3 cup at a time, and simmer until rice is just tender and risotto is creamy, allowing broth to be absorbed before adding more, and stirring often, about 18 minutes.

Remove from heat. Mix in 6 tablespoons Parmesan and butter. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Spread risotto in 13x9x2-inch pan and cool completely. Mix 1/2 cup panko, Fontina cheese, parsley, chopped chives, and 1 egg yolk into risotto. Shape into 1 1/4-inch balls; flatten to 2-inch rounds.

Arrange on rimmed baking sheet. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) Preheat oven to 250°F.

Dip risotto cakes into beaten egg, then into panko to coat. Pour enough canola oil into large skillet to coat bottom; heat oil over medium-high heat. Working in batches, sauté risotto cakes until crisp and brown, about 2 1/2 minutes per side.

I just posted this on a similar question earlier today! These are very easy to make and very easy to do large quantities quickly. You could even set up a mini-assembly line!

No-cook pinwheel canapes 9" tortillas, any flavor (mix carrot, spinach, tomato, and plain for a colorful plate) A variety of purchased cream cheese spreads A variety of other fillers, such as smoked salmon, pepperoni, thinly sliced ham, turkey, or chicken, fresh spinach leaves, sliced cheese, finely chopped vegetables, or other relatively flat foods Generously spread cream cheese spreads on tortillas, add desired fillers, and roll up jelly-roll style. (You might want to do this much the night before and refrigerate seam side down. ) Then slice crosswise into 1" rounds.

The two end pieces won’t be round, so you can snitch them for yourself! If dessert needs to be finger foods too, I’d go with home-made or store-bought gourmet cookies (christmas or otherwise) and a fruit plate with grapes, melon cubes, pineapples, strawberries, and kiwis. Larger grocery stores sell huge fruit platters for under $20.

Add a bowl of with a variety of Hershey's Kisses or miniatures in pretty holiday-colored foil wrappers, or scatter some on the table(s). Very festive! These are SO good.... I make tortilla roll-ups a lot for my family all year round. In fact, I'm making them for New Year's Eve. 1 Pkg.

Of flour tortillas, room temperature 1 5 oz. Jar of Kraft Pimento spread 8 oz. Cream Cheese Little bit of salsa Chopped green onions finely grated cheddar cheese sliced dried beef (I always buy 2 pkgs to make sure I have enough), or THINLY sliced deli roast beef Mix all ingredients together until smooth except the meat.

Spread on a tortilla. Lay a slice of the beef on top. Roll it up.

Slice them in bite sized pieces, not quite an inch wide. You'll want to discard the ends. This makes a lot.

Put them in a Tupperware container. These are so good. There's never any left.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
