Got new iMac and free OS X Lion...can I install it on Macbook Pro also?

You can start by improving your English spelling and grammar. I can only make a few guesses what you mean. "How do I boot from a USB?"

You install OS X on the USB drive. ("a USB"? The port is the USB) "I don't have the OS cd I LION from CNET and wanting to it onto my usb."

This is what I mean about English. No idea, really, but CNET doesn't sell Lion. "it says "ROOT"" ... and nothing else?

I don't think so. Read closer, and tell us all the words in the message. "How do Install LION OS on a Macbook pro?"

You have to call Apple and beg them to give you a download code, because they don't offer it to the public now. Lion is old, no longer sold officially by Apple. You can also use "Mountain Lion" (OS 10.8) if your MacBook Pro is Mid 2007 or newer.

If that's what you have.... -- Go to any Mac that is now running OS 10.6.6 or later. -- Open App Store. -- Buy Mountain Lion, download it.

-- Follow the steps outlined in the article linked below.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
