Harness vs Collar for my Boston Terrier?

I use both actually. I use the harness because my puppy likes to pull, like any dog, and I get scared when he pulls so much he chokes. We are working on heal and it has gotten so much better, but we still use the harness when he's being good.

I like to use the harness when he's on the runner. Of course I never leave him out there alone, but collars are always dangerous to use on runners. When he's in his harness, he's less likely to slip out of it, and he can pull all he wants.

With a collar on a runner, the dog can easily hang himself or injure himself, i've heard horror stories. I usually use collars for training. I have a normal buckle collar for his tags and a training slip nylon collar for heal/leash training.

It's somewhat like a chain "choke-collar", but a lot more gentle. When he pulls, it gets tighter and trains him not to pull. I am alright with using chain "choke" collars on bigger dogs like our Anatolian shepherd dog, but for my corgi, I wouldn't use one.

They both have their flaws and perks, for sure. That's why I use both. They are both conventional for different reasons.

:).

It completely depends on your dog. If your dog is a pleasant dog which walks without pulling or anything dramatic then the collar. But, if your dog is an unpleasant dog which pulls and tugs to get at anything which moves then the harness, but be sure your harness is padded over-wise it could wear away the fur and bring up sores.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
