Has anyone had a chance to take a hack at the HP 8" wifi Photoframe? it's basically a media center in a box, but needs better firmware?

I have looked at using them because they have a lot of possibilities but the problem is getting the datasheet for the chips. Most are located in china and the chips tend to be amlogic brands . amlogic.com/index.html The pins are probably serial .

Test them with a meter and if they are not over 5vdc each then I would connect them to a serial port and see if you can get any data. Remember to use only 5V compliant serial ports or a level shifter if using the normal pc serial port. picframe.spritesserver.nl/wiki/index.php....

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
