When I plug my iPhone into my iHome, it tells me the same thing because the iHome was made before iPhone was ever announced. Or if I try to plug my iPhone into my friend's satellite radio in her car, it tells me the same because her satellite radio system was not made to be compatible with iPhone. If you do NOT have anything plugged in but you are still getting this error, try these troubleshooting tips: -Hold down the "lock" button until it asks you to "slide to power-off".
Power off and wait several minutes before turning it back on. -Remove your sim card, make sure it is free of dust, and reinsert it. -Plug some headphones into the jack, tell the message to go away, and then unplug the headphones.
-Sometimes it can happen because of moisture. Put you phone in a ziplock bag with a bit of uncooked rice for up to 48 hours. You might want to plug something into your headphone jack so that rice doesn't fall in.
Make sure its a handful of wholes and not cracked pieces or you will get dust and bits inside. A safer alternative is to use those little "DO NOT EAT" packages that come in shoe boxes or other packaging. They are made to soak up moisture.
-Buy a can of compressed air (any electronics store) and blow it into the dock/charging slot on the bottom of your phone. Sometimes dust built up in this slot can cause the phone to think something is connected. -You could buy another dock connector/slot and install it yourself.
See the two tiny screws at the bottom? -Scroll down to message #19 for another trick, involving cleaning the slot with a folded dollar bill (to scrap out any dirt or grime). http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=407260 -If all else fails, you can try following the instructions on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpezg7fG3vg Also read the comments from other users to see what they did / if it worked.
-Here is another high-tech solution that doesn't mean anything to me. It is well over my head. http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=6359368&postcount=90 And last, take it back to the store.
That seems to be the most common solution to this problem, from all the forums and help-boards that I searched. Good luck!
"This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" ERROR- HELP! "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" ERROR- HELP! I have the option of turning airplane mode off /on ....this message pops up randomly.
How can I get rid of this message OR what tools can I use (guide me on where to buy this tool) to get rid of this message! Last edited by baboo2; Dec 31, 2007 at 03:44 AM.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
