I suggest you check out... ...the crime statistics from the City of Houston P.D. And pick the area closest to where you are. Spring isn't technically in Houston and so isn't covered exactly by this system. On the other hand, Money Magazine reports this 2005 level of crime for Spring overall:Personal crime incidents (per 1,000) 2 (13 is the average for the 100 best places to live)Property crime incidents (per 1,000) 26 (206 is the average for the 100 best places to live)Crime incidences are estimates based on FBI 2005 Universal Crime and incidence reports.

A score of 100 indicates that the crime risk is the same as the national average. Keep in mind that the overall crime rate in the US is quite low – a score of 100 is indicative of a safe neighborhood.

When evaluating crime risk scores, please note that while 100 is the national average, the average for urban areas is closer to 150 and the average for rural areas is closer to 50. It’s important to realize that a value of 150 does not translate to “high crime” – it merely indicates that the crime risk is higher than the national average. This reflects the general concentration of crime in urban areas. To find the safer neighborhoods within a city you should compare their risk scores instead of evaluating against the national average.

Go to the police station and ask them to pull/print up the police report summary for your neighborhood When we were looking for houses, if we were interested in one, we went to the local police station and asked if they could print up a report on all the issues in the neighborhood for the last few years (e.g. All the times they have gone out to the neighborhood (within a 1-2 mile radius) and the resulting conclusion. They actually gave me a summary of all the occurrences (I don't remember, but I an pretty sure they didn't have exact home addresses next to each issue/complaint/crime, etc.). It took like 5 minutes and the data was very useful to us in helping us make a buy decision.

We did this in Northern Virginia, but I imagine the ability to print out or generate such a report depends on the computer system/program the given police department uses and how the department captures the data..

Ask the neighbors Ask the neighbors, watch the local TV news, and if there's a local newspaper, check to see if they have a police report section. Most little newspapers do. Barring that, call the local police station and ask if they can provide a printout of what happened where and when, the calls that the officers responded to..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
