When it comes to checmical processes you do not want to find the cheapest salon. As for the hairdresser, look at her hair. If her hair looks great it can be an indication she may do hair well.

If you find a stylist who knows what she is doing, she will do a consultation first and simply let you know if you are a good candidate. If you have damaed, dry, bleached or colored hair, you mayw ant to reconsider a perm. Your hair may already be damaged and you will be more likely to have a frizzy perm you do not like.

Another thing to keep into consideration is the length of your hair. Short hair or very short layered hair may not look great permed.
