Turn something old into something new. You may have pillowcases not in use and/or ones you don't particularly like any more, this is a no-sew, creative and inexpensive way to add decor to your home. Use seam ripper to remove stitched seams of pillowcase (side and bottom).
Make sure the inside of the pillowcase is facing up. The little folds of the ripped seams should stay folded. Iron out wrinkles.
Fold lengthwise, each side approximately 10 1/2 inches(this can vary depending on how wide you want the runner to be). Use a strip of stitchery witchery to seal under the edge of the top fold. This will be the underside of the runner.
Flip the runner over, top side facing up. Measure and cut four strips of ribbon and four strips of stitchery witchery approximately 20 1/2 inches long. Apply the ribbon strips so that they wrap completely around the runner.
Space the ribbon strips along the surface of the runner. Measure and cut , two strips of ribbon, 60 inches each and two strips of ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
