How long will it take to become a cosmetologist?

It really depends. It is more about how long it takes you to finish the amount of hours that are required to complete. You will have a certain amount of classroom hours to complete and a certain amount of "hands on" or "floor" hours.

If you are going to beauty school full time, you could finish in as soon as 9 months. If you are going to cosmetology school part time, it can take a couple years. Every school is different with what type of hours you can attend.

I graduated from Arlington Beauty Academy. I was just 16 when I started. I was going to high school and beauty school at the same time.

It took me about 2 years to finish. They were very flexible with students. If we wanted to come in Saturdays we could, as well.
