Here's what should happen: If she is getting in the way in even the smallest of ways of letting same sex couples marry via her office, yes she should. And then regardless of whether she is or isn't, the Kentucky legislature, when it meets in January, should impeach her, for failing to do the just she was entrusted to do. Then she will see what it's like being a hateful bigot.
No she should loose her job as the county clerk of Rowan County, Kentucky. As far as her pension, if she has one it should be up to the presiding Judge of her case. She has no regard for the laws of the United States.
She was appointed through nepotism. She has embarrassed the state of Kentucky.
