I just heard rumor that there is a pill that can make your hair straight or curly by temporarily changing genetics....is this true?

The pill is not going to change your genetics :) You are born with the DNA you have and its not going to change by taking a medicine like the pill..... However, the pill contains hormones and these can change your hair in some ways ( usually getting thinner with less hormone but other changes can occur (1) ) It's more likely that the hair follicles have changed ( could be hormonal ) and that has changed the nature of the hair - from straight to curly and vice versa. The way our follicles grow determines our hair type....there is more at the source I give below...

Yes, it is true that scientists have found out the means to make straight hair curly and vice-versa. According to, timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life/beauty/... ----quote------- At Australia’s Queensland Institute of Medical Research, researchers identified the trichohyalin gene as mainly responsible for creating curls. Curly-haired lead researcher P “Potentially we can now develop new treatments to make hair curlier or straighter.

Also, we could predict whether it was more probable that a baby would have curly or straight hair. ----quote------- Here is a detailed article on the topic, telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/1503145/Scientists-hold-out-prospect-of-a-pill-to-make-your-hair-curl.html I have seen that most people who have straight hair want to go curly and the ones who have curly hair want to go straight. Grass is always greener on the other side lol.

I highly doubt that, since the hair is not a living part of the body - it doesn't need anything to live. To make new hair grow out straight or curly? Maybe.

But I'd doubt it's effectiveness, and to get 6 inches of straight hair, you'd have to be on that pill for a LONG time. I'm not really sure what controls how your hair grows, so I'm not sure if it could be changed. But I'm sure the hair already outside your head would NOT be affected by a pill.

I couldn't find any real sources other than personal blogs stating anything at all, really. Would be awesome though - coming from someone with curly hair; I love it straight but I straighten it so rarely because it takes so long!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
