A laptop equipped with an ATI*6750M or equivalent should run SWOTR just fine at around 1080p resolution, if you don't insist using all max settings. Its not like this is a very demanding game. I'd recommend going to notebookreview forums and asking there.
It's dedicated to laptops and the people there will have better recommendations. My personal 2cents: Obviously gaming laptops exist, but they're always considerably more expensive than their desktop equivalents, and unless you're someone who moves around a lot and really needs the mobility of being able to game anywhere, I would go with a desktop. You just can't compete for the bang for the buck you can get by building your own desktop.
For under 1K, you can get a desktop that can run SWTOR on high settings. You won't be able to get that with a laptop, and the ones you do buy will be pretty heavy and large in the 15. 4-17" range anyway that if you're going to be lugging it around a lot, it'll be a hassle.
I personally prefer a lighter laptop for when I need to travel and a desktop for gaming. If your budget is under 1k, I'd recommend looking for a desktop instead. If you need mobility for non-gaming purposes, you could get a desktop without the monitor to run SWTOR and then have the laptop as your screen.
*Just make sure there is an HDMI cable input on the laptop and it should work well. You can get a basic laptop or even a netbook for next to nothing these days, and even basic desktops will run SWTOR better than most $1k laptops. Edit: run swtor at max setting.

I guess I do if the ppl don't really care about the graphics or if it have low/drop fps or shut down because of over heat. Some people like taking there laptop where they go Work/Friends house ect..... also there is gaming laptops that = gaming computers but they do cost a TON most of the time and to get a really really good one you do have to normally get it custom made. OT: If you can check Newegg.com and see if they got any deals on a laptop with the spec your looking for.
The site is normally cheap on somethings also you can check out youtube videos of people playing TOR on there laptop and see the spec's they post. I work my ass off in the real world. When I come home and sit down I'd prefer to be entertained rather than do a bunch of mindless "work" for pixels.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
