My great grandmother's jello salad and fruit barf Any time my family has a special meal this is served. 2 pkg. Green jello 1 pkg.

Cream cheese 2 cans crushed pineapple (1 can if is is the bigger size) Okay first mix the jello with the amount of boiling water the box calls for stir and make sure all is dissolved. Drain the juice from the crushed pineapple into a measuring cup and add enough cold water to get as much liquid as the jello box calls for. Then unwrap the cream cheese and microwave it until very soft (in a separate container).

Add the cream cheese to the jello and stir with a whisk until it is broken into really small gobs. Add the crushed pine apple and put into mold or serving bowl and refrigerate. It will need to be stirred when it is just starting to set to make sure it does not layer it tastes just fine if it separates but it looks weird.

Fruit Barf This is something my mother makes and me and my brother immediately decided it should be called " fruit barf". 1 pkg. Vanilla pudding prepared (cheesecake flavored jello is also good) 1 angel food cake or frozen pound cake Your choice of fresh or frozen fruit Mix fruit with prepared pudding and serve on cake.

These are some fruits that are good for this. Cherries Peaches Nectarines Bananas Raspberries Blueberries Strawberries Apricots Sources: me .

Ladyfingers Ladyfingers are the secret to elegant desserts with very little work. If you can't lay your hands on ladyfingers, use store-bought pound cake sliced into strips. Put them on a plate, mound fruit or pudding on top of them, and you're done.It looks very elegant and requires almost no effort.

Or layer the ladyfingers, fruit, jello, and whipped cream (straight out of the can) in a big bowl. It's called a "trifle", and it looks particularly nice in a trifle dish: If you make it in individual glasses, it's called a "parfait". As Donkey put it in Shrek, "You know what else everybody likes?

Parfaits. Have you ever met a person, you say, 'Let's get some parfait,' they say, 'No, I don't like no parfait'? Parfaits are delicious.

" Trifles are just like that, only bigger and in a weird dish for which you have absolutely no other purpose that takes up a vast space in your cabinet. You can just make it in a big bowl. Half as elegant, but just as tasty.

I have 2 that I use in the summertime- super super easy! Take 2 (or you can use 1, it just depends on what you like) strawberry yogurts (the the kind with real strawberries is good), and mix it with a container of cool whip. Let it sit in the fridge for like a half hour or an hour.

Then get those mini graham cracker crusts (it comes like 6/package), and fill those with the filling! It's super easy and fast. You don't have to let it sit in the fridge.

You can make it and eat it right away, but letting it sit in the fridge just kinds lets it "set".... ******************************************************************************* The other one you can make or get a fruit platter. Take equal parts of cream cheese (softened or the whipped), and marshmellow fluff. Use a beater and mix it until it's all blended.

This is another thing that you can put it in the fridge and let it set or use it right away. But you use it to dip the fruit in it! It's wonderful and kids love it!

You can also add food coloring if you need to make it for a certain holiday.... Anyway, hope that helps a bit! Try this. People always come back for more whenever I make this one. This is from The Australian Women’s Weekly Sweet Old Fashioned Favourites cookbook.

Australian measurements are in metric, 1 Australian measuring cup will hold approx. 250ml, which is 8.3333 Fluid Ounce(s). 1 tablespoon is 20ml, 1 teaspoon is 5 ml.

The difference is minimal, so you could safely use your usual measuring cups I think. I’ve converted what I can, if you’d like to do it yourself, this is a great conversion calculator from VeryBestBaking. Com, these conversion charts are good too at Real Food for Real People.

Kirsch is a cherry flavoured liqueur. If you prefer not to use alcohol, you could substitute cherry juice, or any juice you’d prefer should be fine. It may change the flavour a little, but then if it tastes good, who cares?

I usually don’t bother with the food colouring either, the strawberries make it pink anyway. Strawberries Romanoff 2 x 250g punnets strawberries, halved (250g = approx. 8 oz) 1 and a half tablespoons Kirsch 2 teaspoons icing sugar (also called powdered sugar or confectioners sugar in USA) 2 tablespoons icing sugar, extra 1/2 cup thickened cream (heavy whipping cream can be substituted) pink food colouring Combine berries, Kirsch and icing sugar in a bowl, refrigerate 30 minutes.

Drain berries, reserve liquid. Divide three-quarters of the berries into 4 dishes. Blend or process remaining berries, extra icing sugar and reserved liquid until smooth.

Beat cream until soft peaks form, fold in berry mixture, tint pink with colouring. Serve cream mixture over berries. Decorate with extra berries if desired.

Eclair cake Here's a delicious cold dessert recipe for you that turns out fabulously! Ingredients: 1 cup water 1 cup flour 4 eggs 8 oz. Cream cheese, softened 1 container cool whip 1/2 cup butter 2 small boxes of vanilla instant pudding, prepared according to package directions Hershey's syrup blueberries and strawberries (optional) Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium saucepan, heat water and butter to a boil.

Add flour and stir to form a ball. Remove from heat and cool a few minutes. Mix in eggs one at a time.

Spread on a greased 11x15 cookie sheet. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.Cool. Prepare pudding according to package direction, then mix in softened cream cheese.

Spread on cooled crust and refrigerate 15 minutes until slightly set. Spread cool whip on top and refrigerate until ready to serve. Immediately before serving, garnish with blueberries and sliced strawberries (optional...I like to do this especially if I'm preparing for a 4th of July party as then it's red, white, and blue), and drizzle with chocolate syrup.

The chocolate syrup will kind of sink into the cool whip if it's sitting for a long time. So if you're preparing for a party, you can make the cake the day before or the morning of, but don't add the chocolate syrup until the very end or else your cake won't look as pretty as it could when you go to serve it. Enjoy!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
