Vaccines last a lot longer than what they're said to. There's actually no difference in a one year rabies booster and a three year one. They both last 3+ years.
My animals get the kitten and puppy shots then a rabies booster every 3 years because it's required by law, thats it. They've actually done studies that proved the distemper shot given at the right time as a pup or kitten can last the animals entire life, 15+ years, yet my last vet insisted I get it yearly for my dogs. If you have an indoor only cat, the chances of them getting a disease are slim to none.
It's up to you, but I don't see any reason to put things in their bodies that they don't need, so I don't waste money on yearly vaccs. Some people do titers though, and vaccinate when immunity levels start to drop.
If you leave the annual booster till more than a year you have to start the injections usually 3 all over again.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
