I tried sleeping for 11-12 hours today, but I don't feel any more energized. Why? I thought I'd have more energy by the time I woke up if I slept for a full 11-12 hours.

I still felt tired but with my body unwilling to go back to sleep. How come? Why can't I feel more energized if I sleep longer?

Tried sleeping. I don't think your body actually needed it or else you would have woken refreshed. Your mind may have thought you needed it.

There is such a thing as having too much sleep where you feel more lethargic on waking than you did before you slept! Your brain can feel lazier than your body if it has not had the right stimulus or exercise, then it gets out of synch with the rest of you. Sleeping when you don't really need it has the opposite effect on you.

Also if you have to try to sleep rather than just fall asleep naturally it's back to the excercise, or finding out what is making you out of synch and working on that.

And a really tough workout is so energizing. You'd think it would be the opposite, yet it works that way.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
