I want to stop eating packaged foods. Any tips?

Shop the perimeter of the grocery store. That's where you will find the unprocessed foods: produce, dairy, meat. Or check out the fresh produce at a local farmer's market and ask the vendors for suggestions on how to prepare the items you buy.

If you don't have a lot of time to cook, master the art of a salad. For a quick Greek-style salad, use pre-washed, bagged romaine lettuce; add some red bell pepper and cucumber cut into bite-sized pieces, halved cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, and pitted kalamata olives; and toss with an easy vinaigrette using 3 T olive oil, 1 T red wine vinegar, 1/4 tsp garlic salt, 1/4 tsp dried oregano, and fresh ground black pepper. Another great salad combination is mixed baby greens with pears, toasted pecans, and crumbled blue cheese tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette (3 T olive oil, 1 T balsamic vinegar, 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard, and salt & pepper).

Add a grilled chicken breat or canned tuna to any salad to make a full meal.

Don't buy any packaged foods. Don't stock up your pantry or freezer with them. Start with the fresh foods section area and avoid looking at the packaged food section when you go shopping.

Well the first thing you have to ask is why you're eating packaged foods. Is it because of the convenience in preparation? Or because you can't think of too many things to cook on your own?

Both can be resolved. For recipe ideas you can go to allrecipes.com. There you can filter your search by ingredients (a meal that includes chicken) or even how long you wish to spend in preparing the meal (10, 20 minute meals).

I'm sure there are some good recipes on hubpages also. If you cook enough, you can probably refrigerate or freeze the rest for leftovers for about a day or two and that can cut down on having to cook everyday.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
