Ice fishing is over and it's almost time to catch some spring brown trout--anyone else ready to get out on the lake?

I have the battery charged on the boat and I'm ready to troll for brown trout as soon as the ice is off the launch ramp. Does anyone else go out for early fish on the Great lakes? Let's hear some stories to get fired up for a great fishing season.

When I was married, one of our favorite weekend activites was going to Lake Erie - in the spring for walleye and in the fall for perch. We didn’t have a boat, so we would go out on one of the head boats. BIG fun!

Not the Great Lakes exactly But I went flyfishing for brown trout here in central Pennsylvania for a few hours today and caught and released two 8-10 inchers. Trout season doesn't open until April 15 here but the flyfishing-only catch and release streams are legal all year. A sunny 41 degrees today!
