If gas continually drop will food prices drop as well?

Not necessarily. While transporting food long distances will be cheaper, there is still the issue of bad wether. If crops are frozen out, or get no water, the crop will be ruined and prices will continue to be high, regardless of the gas prices.

Here in the Fraser valley we have had a rainy grey summer and that has not been great for our corn-a major crop here.

I have to agree with Flora. Weather and climate conditions have a much more long term effect on food prices than gas.

Using corn to make ethanol is helping drive food prices up, the cost of grain corn goes up every year. If our government is successful in taxing the energy companies as they propose, you'll see huge inflation as is gets passed on to the people. Gas prices always drop at this time of year and it's only temporary.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
