If you were given the power to change one country for the better, which one would it be and why?

I live in the United States, as does my family. I would choose the US for a number of reasons. 1.My family and their future families would be directly affected by the change, and my future generations may be given a chance for a better life because of those changes.

2. The original foundation of this country was pride and progression. We have seen many setbacks and suffered many intolerable choices from our past leaders.

I believe this country deserves another chance to be the powerful nation it set out to be. 3. The United States used to be a country of influence, and a force to be reckoned with.

Not for ultimate power but for the culture that it stood for. One of freedoms, pride, and compassion.4.By rectifying many of the current problems the country is facing, it would have the strength to then focus on assisting those that are in need. Helping other countries who want to succeed with honor, not win by defeating another culture.

If the United States could have a future of hope and reconditioning, other countries may follow it's lead as in the past. Leading other nations to fight for their culture and freedoms, to harmonize and euphorically bring down those who only concern themselves with greed, corruption and power.

Iraq. I would make that country stable, peaceful, and influential over its neighbors. To me, that doesn't mean they come more American, necessarily have a democracy, or anything like that.

I just want them to be stable so we can take our military out, make them peaceful so we don't have to come back, and make them influential over their neighbors so we can stay out of the entire Middle East for good. While I don't think we necessarily should have gone in how we did, where we did, since that war has started it has nearly bankrupt our government, killed thousands of our troops, and probably taught many Iraqi boys to grow up hating the United States. I think we would benefit greatly if that area just got it together.

POWER: I'd throw away the cars and the (jail) bars and the war, make sweet love to you! ;) (with apologies to "Three Dog Night") COUNTRY: USA. REASON: All things considered, we're really messed-up!

I would choose Haiti. This beautiful, yet poor country has suffered long enough. It is time for the world to step up to the plate and lend a hand to create a better life for the citizens of Haiti.

More medicine, more food, more mercy, more development, more tourism - they need a lending hand. Thanks to Bill Clinton and Wyclef Jean for all their recent assistance. Lea Ann Fessenden-Joseph National Caribbean Travel Examiner at examiner.com.

I'd pick the United States, and I'm not actually an American. They are large, important, and their well being affects the well being of many other countries and financial systems. Getting some of the coming inflation out of the way might do a lot to help, but I'm sure there are a lot of other great solutions you could come up with too.

I'd pick a country with close proximity to Europe... Don't really care which one. I'd then establish very large bandwidth capabilities to other countries, and introduce a totally open internet usage policy. I'd tax corporations like crazy, and throw people in jail for not paying taxes, but the draw to internet companies would be amazing!

In short I'd try to turn a country into the Swiss Bank equivalent of the internet. Pirates Bay needs an official home country. First country to allow any and all internet traffic will be extremely well vested in the future of this world.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
