I'm going fishing on a charter boat. Where's the best place to stand (bow, side, or stern) to catch a fish? Salmon fishing, in Puget Sound.

I've only gone once before and got skunked...but the people on the back of the boat always seemed to catch lots. I was on the side and caught nothing. I want to know if the best place to stand is, indeed, at the back of the boat.

Back of the boat is best In theory it depends on the type of fishing... If you're doing trolling the boat's going to be moving forward a bit and being in the back means you're the furthest away from the boat and the noise it emits (scaring the fish). Also, your lure would be further away from the rest and if you're live-bait fishing, the fish is moving in the most realistic pattern during boat movement (turns etc)...I'd also recommend the back to avoid tangles and other unfun-ness that can occur. If you're mooching, I wouldn't think it'd make that much difference, however there's a good portion of luck involved in any fishing. It's called fishing and not catching for a reason ;)good luck!

It seems impossible to catch them. They just grab the bait and run. " "Where can I find a remote control boat that has a fishing hook on the bottom?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
