In Firefox, how can I remove the text in the 'Bookmarks Toolbar'?

Rightclick on any bookmark shown Then, click properties and you can then change the text of a bookmark. I do this regularly because the default text is usually way too much and hogs the toolbar. By trimming descriptions, I can have lots of entries on the bookmark toolbar.

Right click.... Right click on each bookmark in the toolbar, go to "Properties," and then delete the text in the "Name" area. Press the "OK" button. Now all you should see in the toolbar for that particular link is the icon for that link/site.

Org/en-US/firefox/addon/4072 When you’ve restarted firefox, go to Go to Tools->Add-ons and choose "smart bookmarks bar" and check everything. Then click on each bookmark and load the page so the icon becomes the favicon for that site (if it’s got one-otherwise will just be a piece of folded paper).

Sounds like you're talking about the personal toolbar subfolder of Bookmarks To remove them, just open the bookmark manager and open the personal toolbar folder. You can then delete or add bookmarks to be shown in the Bookmark toolbar.

You can do that from the View | Toolbars menu.
