Oh go on, you don't need an arsenal to go to work, or a holiday party, If no one bought any more guns we'd still be awash in them. Just one gun would do, but the idea that having a gun protects you could be more in the realm of wishful thinking than fact. In the Colorado cinema shooting, there were armed patrons, but they couldn't shoot because of the dark and confusion.
The man interviewed was trained and he knew you need to identify your target and he couldn't. In situations where there are more than one armed good guy, say three armed men two good, one bad, how would the two good guys know which of them was good and which was a partner of the bad guy? Or when the cops came, if any of them were good guys or just shooters?
Real life isn't as neat as the movies. There are a lot more variables, and just having a gun doesn't make you safe.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
